Children’s activities

Which parent doesn’t enjoy being able to relax at the campsite with a good book, to take a walk or just do nothing? Often you hear this is only possible once the kids enjoy themselves. To ensure a delightful holiday for the kids, and therefore the parents, we, at Wakan Tanka, organise several children’s activities.

Every weekday we organise children’s activities. In the mornings after sounding the big bell, we make crafts using the theme of Indians. For example, we make bow and arrows, dream catchers, Indian shirts etc. During craft time, we use mostly natural materials. Now and then we play a game in the morning, like foxhunting, treasure hunt, animal sounds game or we test if the children are becoming real Indians yet, in which an Indian certificate can be earned.

In the evening we arrange an activity as well. We organise different things, to make it entertaining for as many kids (and adults) as we can. We play children’s theatre, a game, or sometimes Chief Oef Oef will read a story. We also organise a playback show for young and old. Through the different activities the children will quickly become friends, creating time for you to relax.
